Best things to do in Siena
Siena, a UNESCO world heritage site since 1995, with its medieval walls, wide squares, towers and age-old buildings is a timeless gem. Our tour begins in a truly special location: a historic 17th century building, home to Grand Hotel Continental. The hotel, set among the city’s medieval sandstone-paved streets, is located along the so-called Corso Senese, on via Banchi di Sopra: the city’s main street, lined with shops offering local products, including the historic Pasticceria Nannini at number 24.

The Palio is the most important event in Siena, where various Sienese "contrade", or districts in which the city is divided, challenge each other in a passionate horserace in the heart of the city in the Piazza del Campo. This year, due to Covid-19 emergency, the Municipality of Siena has announced that the traditional Palio scheduled for July 2nd has been postponed to August 22nd and August 16th's Palio postponed to September 26, 2020. Further updates on the confirmation dates are expected within mid-May.Discover more
